ABOUT ME
Edit: I have been adding to the profile description since I joined this site in 2011. Hence the length and lack of coherence.
Please have a completed profile and take time to read your host's profile. I tend not to accept copy+paste requests.
I grew up in beautiful Kerala, one of the southernmost states of India. I used to study in another state 3 hours away from home. Extended detours on the way made me love the road. I have been trying to travel as much as possible since then.
I prefer to listen than talk. Contrary to my profile, I don't talk much. If we meet, please don't take it the wrong way. That is just me.
Unless I am very comfortable with the company or had a drink or five. In which case you will have to manually change the channel 😬
I would love to meet people who can teach or introduce me to something new even if it is just an idea.
I lived in Christchurch, New Zealand, from 2009 to 2015.
Now in Montreal since 2018.
I still feel new to Montreal and feel like I am still finding my way around. Hosting might motivate me to be a tourist in the city I call home.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host and surf.
I try and take part in activities/adventures organised by CSers.
Sometimes I invite the local community to join me for a day hike or whatever I am planning
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have met some great people on couch surfing. shared some laughs, stories, food, experiences and knowledge. Love the idea of sharing and the freedom of the road. Looks like I have been a host more times than I have been a guest.
Interests
silence, rock climbing, tramping, woodworking, music, reading, nature, traveling, sustainable energy, anything I am ignorant about interests me.
I am a curious cat but not dead yet.
The biggest regret of a short life span is not enough time to learn.
The calming effect of being out in the wilderness is greatly underestimated.

True story
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been thinking about this actually. I want to learn everything. I don't think there is anything not worth learning. I have a special liking for languages.
I can teach some words from the languages I speak. The places I have been and experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good company, stories from India, New Zealand, Middle East, and I can show you my non-existent cooking skills.
Mi casa es tu casa
I am happy to share whatever is mine. You are welcome to use the kitchen, laundry etc. Just remember to clean up after yourself.
If you are from a different culture/country, I would really appreciate it if you could cook one meal from your cuisine(PS: not a requirement)
