Hi! I'm Hilda and I live in a calm neighborhood just 15 minutes from the centre of Helsinki, with my parents and my little brother and our dog Pami. The hobbies that I've evolved in my life have been, football, folk dance, scouts, piano playing and circus. Scouts has been a big part of my life for a long time, and I've been a scout leader for 5 years, so I have a lot of experience in leadership, being outdoors and doing various tasks with people from all over the world in international scout camps. I've also worked in the national circus of Finland, and the national theatre of Finland, as a staff member. My tasks included working in a cafe and helping around backstage. In my performing arts school, Kallio upper secondary school, my main subjects were, light design, dance, and staging. During my time in scouts I've learned to appreciate the nature on a whole new level and I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty. Now I work as special needs assistant for disabled children as a full-time job.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I'm going travelling to Central- and South-America for three and a half months with my close friend Anni Honkaniemi. We're going to Cuba, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador and Peru (in this order). Our trip is from the end of December to April. We'd love to stay at some fun locals houses rather than always going to a hostel. It would be a great way to meet new people and experience local culture in a whole new level.
