Overview
About Me
I'm a nerd, I enjoy languages and language-learning though admittedly am not always the best at it... I'm fairly career-focused but enjoy having fun. I want to meet new travel buddies and make new friends across the globe. I enjoy deep / philosphical chats as well as just hanging out in silence and working on stuff. Video games are enjoyable (especially turn-based strategy games) and real-time strategy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have very limited CouchSurfing experience, but had a great guy named Max stay with me once in Duluth, and another gentleman briefly stay with us and used Hospitality Club all over Germany and even in the US. It is basically the same thing though! (See below..) Met some cool people last-minute in Toronto and that's about that.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Copenhagen 2007... Berlin 2007 (met 3 different hosts for 3 separate short visits)... Paris 2007... Minneapolis 2008 (I was living in Duluth, MN and decided to come down for a weekend and get to know new people)... Chicago 2008...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sitting on the beach on the South Shore of Lake Superior in Michigan, watching a thunderstorm roll in while the sun sets, then watching in until you feel the wind and rain in your face.
Teach, Learn, Share
Love. Live. Learn. Then live some more, love again, and keep on learning.
Language. What is it? It is an abstract concept. Why? We give meaning to words, which are nothing more than abstract sounds that constantly shift, change meaning, change spelling, change pronunciation over time. Therefore, how can we concretely explain anything in this world and in our lives by using something as abstract as language. Its all about the emotions, understanding those, and understanding the concept of solidarity.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Fun conversations, or a chill evening. I can fix your computer / tinker with it, speed it up whether it is a Mac or a PC. I usually carry a flash drive with me and if not, most of my utilities are "in the cloud"! I might be able to make food... but no guarantees!
