Hello, I'm Hillary!

I believe we all have something to teach each other. I like to help people, even in the smallest of ways, and think detouring from the norm is valuable.

I'm an experience person- I learn best by doing, tasting, and seeing. Sometimes that's the rougher road to travel but I wouldn't have it any other way. That said, I'll try almost anything once and I'm always down for adventure. :)

In my hometown, I'm a student and work for a couple small business owners. Currently, I sell wine and spirits at a boutique shop, make soap, and do some freelance dog training. I study Environmental Science and have been learning about sustainable agriculture. In my spare time, I like to get out and work in my garden bed, cook meals from scratch, hike, bike around, and spend time with good friends.

I love meeting new people, exploring new places, and trying new things. I enjoy good food and drink- particularly anything produced locally and thoughtfully.

My exposure to Couchsurfing has been mostly from helping my boyfriend Jon host, which has shown me what an incredible community this is. I'm currently taking a break from pursuing my education to travel. My hope now is to make new friends and experience different cultures by couchsurfing myself!
