i like movies where not much happens, and lots of arty pretentious stuff too. clever, funny, wierd, thoughtful films like adaptation, being john malkovich, chinatown, lost in translation, dr strangelove - almodovar, jean-luc godard, charlie kaufman & michel gondry. Books - maintaining my teenage obsession with all the slim volumes of salinger, being mature with t.s.eliot, hemingway, forster, wilde, kundera, shakespeare, woolf, keats (i list the author's names but have mostly just read one of their books, naturally). & roald dahl. Music, music, music. Off the top of my head - radiohead, bob d, bob m, the smiths, the velvet undergroud, Nina Simone, Bjork, nick drake, Gil Scott Heron, Interpol, Regina Spektor, Rodrigo y Gabriela, The Knife, Hot Chip, libertine, Jeff Buckley, Caetano Veloso, Roots Manuva etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
