Hi guys, I am Himanshu Grover, an Indian from the Netherlands. I am a mechanical engineer working and residing in the beautiful city of Leiden. I moved to the Netherlands from Sweden in the winter of 2023 where I pursued my master's.

A traveler by heart, I am on my first solo trip to the heart of Eastern Europe. originally from India, I have been lucky to call multiple countries my home throughout the 28 years of my life. Thanks to my Dad's transferrable job I grew up in two very diverse countries, namely India and Singapore, and have caught up on the various cultures these countries had to offer.

Being a sports enthusiast I enjoy watching football, cricket tennis, formula 1, and Hockey. A hardcore Manchester United fan, I am still waiting to fulfill my dream to touch the grass of Old Trafford ( The Theatre of Dreams). I also enjoy playing football, cricket, and badminton during my free time.

I like to travel to new places to explore the heritage and cultures different countries have to offer. And what better than to explore the place than when you have a local showing you around and telling you all about the history, traditions, and lifestyles of these places? It is very intriguing to discover how alike we all are. And this also helps me to showcase the beautiful culture of the countries I have lived, and provide them motivation to visit those countries as well. I do belive that this is one big way of making friends and meeting amazing people.

I am a big fan of jazz, old-school rock, and new-age rock ba ds in music. Currently, I am a big fan of Imagine Dragons and still waiting for the opportunity to go to the concert. I am also diversifying my taste in music to EDM and Techno.

I am an avid reader and enjoy thrillers, fiction, fantasy, and biographies. A huge fan of Sidney Sheldon, I have read most of his books.

Similar to my taste in music, I do like thrillers, sci-fi, and comedies.

I can share my experiences working with different people during my job as a tour guide. I am a very jolly person, always up to listening to crazy stories of people and also wanting to learn from their life experiences to make me ready for the unexpected journey ahead we call life. I am honest and would love to share my love for food with the hosts. Wanting to try the local delicacies and treat them to some good Indian food.
