Hello!

I am currently travelling / backpacking for the first time, and it's in Latin America.
I grew up in Sri Lanka and then moved to London for university, and then worked in London for another 7 years.

I recently became a British citizen and to celebrate I'm travelling through Latin America for a year because I now have a passport which will actually let me in to a country without a ton of paperwork.

I am very curious to learn about the places I travel to and typically like to spend at least 5 days in a place to really explore. Sometimes that can be up even two weeks, when I really like a place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have typically only stayed in hostels before, and some hotels but Couch surfing was recommended by many fellow travellers on the road, and I am excited to give it a shot!

Excited to meet locals who live in the places I visit and get to hopefully experience each city authentically, and find out what regular life is like in each place.
