Im a Tunisian Star Wars nerd. Currently work as Democracy and Governance Specialist at an embassy. So I enjoy talking about politics in the Arab world, the US and in general.
I love meeting people from different cultures and knowing more about their lives. They definitely have amazing stories to tell and for me that exposure is priceless.
I travel abroad for work a lot and I know how important it is to find someone from that country to show you places and give you an The real deal and not the fancy parts only.

I travel frequently so it helps to have people to meet and hangout with who are usually fun and up for an adventure.

Forty Rules of Love is my favorite book.

Thousands Splendid Suns and The Kite Runner by Khaled Housseini are my second all time favorite book. I also absolutely love all Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie books including her latest Americanah. I also absolutely adore Elena Ferrante and read all her books

Star Wars is all time favorite movie . I also watch a lot of movies so they can not all be mentioned in here.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived a year in Texas for Grad school and ended up making amazing friends and considering it a second home.

Worked with refugees from Libya and helped give them a voice and managed to get funding for a couple of women empowerment program.

Emailed Paolo Coelho and told him how much I love his writing style and I got a thank you note from him with his signature on it with an open ended quote!Horray for that!

Met Hillary Clinton on her visit to Tunisia.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Arabic in a very fun and creative way!
I can also share recipes of you how to make yummy Tunisian food in very easy steps!
I’m willing to learn about other people’s differences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer the CS the chance to experience the beauty of this country.

I love talking to people so chances that we will have great discussions about anything are pretty high! I also like to cook so I might invite them to my favorite Tunisian restaurant or treat them to a homemade meal :)
