About Me

I was born and raised in Chicago with two brothers, Japanese dad, Filipino mom, many aunties, uncles, and cousins. I have an Ecuadorian pro wrestler boyfriend of almost 10 years. I usually travel on my own. Sometimes I like to bring my boyfriend or my brother. They are pretty laid back. However, I'm not afraid to explore and camp on my own. I've always loved traveling and I have a goal to visit all 50 states of the United States before truly venturing out. I've been to about 30 states! I hike and ride motorcycles. I compete in ice skating and I try to stay near an indoor ice rink when I can. Of course, my parents wanted me to focus on a professional career, so I completed my bachelor and masters in accounting. I went straight into auditing. Then after 5 years, I left. Since I used to work in the Big Four/Corporate world, I now do freelance accounting work during projects here and there. This helps me gain the flexibility to train in ice skating and travel. My biggest dream is to hike the 2,200 mile Appalachian trail. Hopefully, I can do that one day!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've always wanted to couchsurf for real because I think it is a great way to meet people and save a little on budget. I mostly stay in Airbnb if I cannot find a safe place to stay.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Burn Notice, The Secret, and many loads of anime. Dragon Ball Z is my favorite.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One day, I went to Dick's Sporting goods, bought all my hiking gear, hopped on a ferry, travelled to Cumberland Island, hiked 10 miles, and camped in the backcountry all by myself with zero training!! It was the most challenging thing I've ever done. During that trip, I realized I've done a lot of hiking mistakes!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to hear the traveling stories of hosts and couch-surfers. I can share my stories too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

If there is an ice rink around, I can show you the basics in ice skating.
