I was born and grew up on a little and very magical island in Hawaii named Molokai where I spent most of my time playing guitar, reading just about everything I could (as well as somethings that didn't really make much sense at the time) , and enjoying nature and life in general. I then studied music composition and production at Berklee College of Music while living and working in Boston, Mass. I have now been living in Mexico for the last four years composing music and working in various audio and music related fields while trying also to develop myself in every facit that I find relative to my growth.
I have been living in Mexico for the last five years. For the first two years I stuck to mostly rural parts, not interacting much with the social world, working on my music and myself. Now for the last three years I have been playing music along the pacific coast with a group that I co-created in Oaxaca. It is a projection of intent in evolution, a synthesis of ideas and feelings so we called it Proyecto Mandala.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I encourage folks to CS at my family home in Kaunakakai. My mother was born in Greenwich Village and lived in Pasadena, CA, Washington, DC, and Haight-Ashbury before moving to Molokai in 1978.
My main interests revolve around music and really anything that has to do with audio. I enjoy and compose music of all sorts and will not be held back by genres.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Update...Just got back from touring Europe over the summer with Mandala. Amazing!! Looking forward to going back. =) Thanks so much to all the people, especially those that helped us arrange shows and those that allowed us to surf your couches. May we find ourselves on a similar path again.
