About Me

I'm a writer living in New York City. I love traveling, meeting new people, and learning their stories and life lessons. It's very fulfilling for me.

As a heads up. I first CouchSurfed in 2011 when living in Asia. Then I didn’t travel for about 10 years! Or mostly used AirBnB. Now I am traveling again and excited to get back into the CS community :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love cultural exchange, and Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to do that. I love staying with a local, getting some recommendations, and having great conversations.

Interests

I love to play sports, explore new places, meet inspiring people, cook, etc. I love talking about film, spirituality, sports and traveling.

Photography has become a new hobby of mine. I shoot both film and digital. I've also started making short documentaries and that has been very enjoyable.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movies are Dead Poets Society, Inside Out, Shawshank Redemption, Call Me By Your Name, and many others.

My favorite writers are George Plimpton, George Orwell, Bill Buford, Somerset Maugham, Richard Bach, and Mitch Albom.

My favorite band of all time is Wilco. I listen to them regularly. I also love The National, Vampire Weekend, Frank Ocean, Tennis, and others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a few things I'm quite proud of. My favorite was moving to Thailand after college without knowing anyone there. It turned out to be a life-defining experience, sparking a love of travel and a desire to see the world and share its stories.

Teach, Learn, Share

For my next trip, I am most eager to learn traditional Italian cooking. It's my favorite food and I want to learn how to make traditional dishes to share and enjoy with others.
