About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To never let the 'life experiences' end!
ABOUT ME
I grew up in small town America, but have been traveling, living and working abroad for most of my adult life... A school trip to Spain got me interested in foreign exchange, way back when (i.e. I was 'bit' by the travel bug), and it just snowballed from there. I've now traveled to countries in North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Pacific Rim and speak several foreign languages.
I also enjoy staying put in one place for awhile, to really get the language and the culture down. And I've studied and/or worked in Switzerland, Italy, Germany and seven years in Japan. I'm currently back in the States getting money together to get a Masters in Education and a Montessori teaching diploma, which I certainly hope will lead to more teaching and traveling opportunities abroad.
I enjoy the simple things in life - cycling through a field of blooming flowers, swimming with colorful fish, watching the sunrise from a hilltop... And I love to meet new people and soak up the culture wherever I go. Food and drink, song and dance and an evening of laughter and sharing stories are travel memories that stick with me most.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to CouchSurfing, the website, but am well acquainted with couchsurfing as a way to experience the world on a budget! I spent half of last year on someone's couch or another - in Spain, Norway, Switzerland, Germany and the UK. Up until now, its been through my own network of friends (or friends/family of friends), but I'm excited to see how my options expand through CS!
Interests
