About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Following my dream to make the Canadian National Speed Skating team
ABOUT ME
I've spent the last seven years studying and then working at the University of Victoria while spending my summers in the tree planting world. Just this month I gave it all up to move to Calgary and pursue my dream of becoming a National Speed Skater. I just picked up the sport and have been fortunate to get a chance to be mentored by some amazing coaches who have given me the courage to go after this dream. So here I am, giving it my all and going for it 100%. I'm not sure what the final destination will be but I am very excited for this journey.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new to this but from all the travellers who I have met they share nothing but fantastic stories of this community.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Only what I've heard from my friends - and it's all great!
Interests
I love the snow and I love the outdoors. I spent seven summers living in a tent and now that I am no longer able to do that anytime I can go on a hike or get to camp is a real treat. The more snow the better as I'm all about skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing (and of course skating).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've driven a school bus (turned planter bus) down some of the most exciting logging roads and lived to tell the tail. I've also planted 8,000 trees in one day and over 725,000 as a planter (and in my last season as a camp supervisor we planted 7.7 million trees!)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm told often that I'm always smiling, so I hope that it's contagious :)
