About Me

I'm Hannah, I am an adventurer. I currently live in Richmond, VA with my lovely partner and best friend. I love all things outdoors, hiking, biking, swimming, climbing, enjoying the sun. I also love experiencing a new city. I love to cook, especially seasonally and locally I strive to live sustainably in an urban environment and am interested in new and creative ideas to do that. I am a doula and overall birth/women/sexuality/body enthusiast and am excited to be a midwife one day. So that is a little about me.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to live life without fears. I want to see and do as fully as I can. I love the world that humans have created together and the world untouched by humanity. I want to be part of it all. I want to learn as much as I can in this life and not miss any opportunity for adventure while I still have the energy and the nerve!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started off on couch surfing when I was 18 embarking on my first solo trip through Europe. Since then, I have hosted people in my apartment in Montreal and in a big communal house in Richmond, Virginia. Last summer my partner and I travelled extensively through North America, and I owe a huge amount of that amazing-ness to the couch surfing community. Such good vibes all around!

Interests

I am interested in hiking, camping, urban and non-urban foraging, slow food movement, gardening, cooking, languages, reading fiction, nonfiction, philosophy and poetry, birth, anatomy, sexuality, feminism, art, dancing, anything active and exhilarating in nature!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen babies come out of their mothers. Pure, loving effort.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am pretty young, so I admit I have much more to learn than to teach. I know a lot about Montreal. I know quite a bit about the environmental justice movement. I also know quite a bit about American and Canadian politics. I know a lot about pregnancy and birth. There is really nothing that I don't want to learn, though I do have a list of things that I especially want to learn about. I would like to know about taking care of horses, about taking care of bicycles, about the Palestinian-Israeli conflicts, glass blowing, and much more!

What I Can Share with Hosts
