About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently half way through a five year trip around the world hitching by day and sleeping out under the stars each night!

ABOUT ME

I packed up and left in the fall of 2002. Had a rough idea of where I was going and where I'd be for the next year (planned). But the world is bigger than I thought. I'm still travelling and way off schedule. I threw the schedule out somewhere in Macedonia. I have two brothers, a mother and a father. And I'm a gypsy. A nomad. Not in the beggar sense, but in the sense that there's something around the corner, on the other side of town, around the world, that I need to see. And I'm not sure why. I just need to see it. Carpe Diem, I guess. Anyway, I put together this site to raise interest in my travels. I sometimes don't realize how amazing the last few years have been - I get so caught up in life. Like everyone does. So I'm still hitching and have slept outside in parks, playgrounds, random bushes and forests through rain, wind, and snow for 99% of my nights the past few years and I probably will be for a long time.........this big adventure called life continues and only gets better with each passing day!

PHILOSOPHY

"I think I don't regret a single 'excess' of my responsive youth - I only regret, in my chilled age, certain occasions and possibilities I didn't embrace." -Henry James, writer

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm currently on the road, but when I return I think that this network will be an amazing way for me to keep every day different from the last, by opening up my home for travelers from around the world. As for now, I'm heading into the cold winter of Russia and the Caucus region and hoping to meet up with and stay with locals along the way!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Currently I've been hitching on this journey and I've had many amazing people take me in from all over the world.

Interests

Constantly learning from every person I meet and every place I see. Adventure, friendly ladies, basketball, running, triathlon, politics, working with children, family, finding a new place to sleep each night under the stars for the past few years, and finally trying to live each day to the fullest so that my dreams at night are boring in comparison to the hours I'm awake....
