ABOUT ME

I am an independent thinker, a conceptual artist and a great cook. I love all things food: from shopping at the open market, eating street food, family and friends dining together, to elaborate mutli-course meals. Food is the great common denominator - we all eat and all should have access to food. It is not only the thumb that sets "man" apart from all other animals, but the ability to cook food. I have travelled widely and look forward to exploring the many corners of the world. Everyday is an adventure even in your own backyard. Look at the world upside down, smell the aroma on the wind, imagine the view a bird has from above, float on the sea... dream, love and live.

see the world NOW, don't wait until your old and retired. live in the present. be respectful of the earth. laugh at yourself once in a while. believe in a cause. participate in the community at large.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't had an "official" CouchSurfing experience yet, however, I have been a couch surfer - before I learned about this organization. This is how I got my nickname Hobopal. I have had wonderful opportunities with the six degrees of separation. I grew up moving often - I lived in Boston for ten years AND then got the travel bug.....

Interests

Food, Food and food. Photography, Art, Museums, Films. Travel. swimming, hiking, exploring, camping , sailing. I am very involved with the Slow Food Movement and raising awareness about sustainability. Composting and the three R's - reduce, reuse recycle. Education. Scrabble and games. Baseball - Go Red Sox! Gardening. Eating Healthy. I used practice yogo - but need to bring it back into my life.

i enjoy films, books and music, but I don't generally consume them. Most my reading time is school work right now.
