I like to take and give. And in the meantime there's communication. A process that could be really challenging, but very pleasant also. And that's what I'm interested in. We've all grown up in different locations with different backgrounds and I'm interested in discovering and maybe discussing the cultural codes that enable and/or detain us from communicating.
I am a magazine fan. I collect mags. I dance tango, i love literature (classic and modern), listening and playing music (drums) and i am so into comix as well. I read comix and i draw comix.
I do sports; me and my bicycle, we are like a couple. Life without sports would be so boring. I also really enjoy playing table tennis and frisbee. I am also planning to start rowing sometime soon...
Music, Movies, and Books
Music is one: good music and bad music. I like good music. But bad music is sometimes educative too. So, to me it's all about having your "antennas" open. I adore the instrument called "trumpet" and I've been following a lot of trumpet players for some time: Arve Henriksen, Markus Stockhausen, Jon Hassell, Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu and last but not least, Miles Davis.
Also I'm into these guys: Ethnic Heritage Ensemble, Hamid Drake, The Bad Plus, Richard Horowitz, David Torn, Mark Nauseef, Jan Garbarek, Jon Balke, The Missing Persons, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, She Past Away, Clan of Xymox, Sisters of Mercy, Warren Ellis, Bill Laswell, Orhan Gencebay, Bismillah Khan, David Lynch, Diafana Krina and many more...
Cinema to me is like traveling, a way to have access to other countries, other cultures, other lives... Recently, I am interested about the new romanian cinema. Asian cinema is one of my all time favorites. The new turkish cinema is also cool. Greece has started developing unique ways of expression (Dogtooth is unforgettable). Nice works are coming from the independent americans too. Oh, also mexican and spanish cinema is really really worth following. And my list could go on forever...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
