Hey Everybody! It's been awhile since my last big trip. I love hiking, Climbing, surfing, Diving and anything else that will get me up off the couch. I might sleep in them but I won't live in them! Would love people with similar interests to go on adventures with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As of a short time ago my boo broke my heart, and I decided what better way to get over an old love than to throw yourself headlong into life. Quit my job, gave up the apartment, now I'm ready to travel!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never actually participated in the website, though I have lived on couches to facilitate working less and climbing/hiking/living more. Hoping to get some experience on this trip and when I get home, which will probably be San Diego, CA, I hope I can return the favor, or at least pass it along.

Interests

Anything outside, Hiking, biking, diving, surfing, climbing, also cooking, meeting new people, getting lost in cities. Seeing the roads less taken.

Music, Movies, and Books

Kung-fu movies, sci-fi, good anime, Also anything by the Coen Bros. As for music lately it's been Mumford and Sons, the lumineers, the decemberists, Boubacar Traore, also anything bluesy. Haven't been reading as much as I used to but definitely Haruki Murakami, Thomas Pynchon, Salman Rushdie, anything that instills one with a sense of wonder and adventure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled 3 Months in Europe, got a job at a hostel in Barcelona, Back-packed a 60 mile section of the John Muir Trail in California, Took up Scuba Diving, learned how to surf, have lived in many different Cities, met amazing people, and made good friends.

Teach, Learn, Share

Don't know that I am an expert on any one thing, but I have many hobbies and can share the little knowledge I have on any of them with others. Mostly outdoors experience. I love to pick up new things also, and to have people to share those things with. Always less intimidating not having to jump into something alone.
