ABOUT ME

Well, I hate filling in these kind of boxes. Never sure what to say. Well, I work full time at Gleneagles hotel as a waiter which has been amazing. Meeting famous people and meeting loads of staff from accross the world. I am also at Stirling University where I am training to become a geography teacher, although I must be mad. I enjoy travelling around and palying tourist, mostly day trips at the moment due to little money but I am trying to visit as many famous places as I can before I get too busy with work etc.

PHILOSOPHY

Live life how it comes and always go by your first feelings. Never let words bring you down and when you fall, pick yourself up and carry on.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only just joined couch surfing recently after some of my friends have used it. I am still hoping to host people as Scotland is an amazing place and theres so much to see and do. The club which I am now running at the university has a large amount of international students in it and so we always mention this great website to them to visit and many of them do which is great.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got an amazing oppotunity to go to Ottawa in Canada for 2 weeks back in 2001 and stayed with a family over there who I had never met before. It was great fun and I have stayed in contact with them and the other canadian students we meet up with came over to england for 2 weeks as well.
I have been to Cyprus for 2 weeks with 70 other air cadets who at the time I had never met before and that was a great 2 weeks and I still talk to some of them too.

Interests

Anything really, movies, reading, hill walking and sight seeing are the big ones. Although can't forget drinking, eating and sleeping though, LOL. I am the president of wildwatchers at Stirling University where we travel all around Scotland to see what it has to offer. I have met some amazing people in this club and been to some fantasic places.
Also I am very interested in the Falklands Campaign as well and have a good knowledge of it all.

Music, Movies, and Books

Big reader of travel books like Bill Bryson. Movies, well, anything that comes out in the cinema I guess. Music wise I have a wide range of tastes from The Corrs to R&B.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As mentioned before some of the places in Scotland I have seen have just been breathtaking. My most amazing thing done however, anytime I have been travelling and coming accross unexpected but amazing landscapes and views.
