Overview
About Me
I’m a retired Army intelligence analyst turned writer, with a deep love for knowledge, the open road, and honest conversation. After years of structure and chaos, I’ve built a life around simplicity, self-reliance, and curiosity. I’ve worked in military leadership, education, and AI training—now I’m focused on finishing my sci-fi novel and exploring the world, one stop at a time. I believe in treating people with decency, questioning everything, and leaving things better than I found them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I value genuine human connection over polished tourism. Couchsurfing gives a real lens into how people live. I’m here to share stories, gain perspective, and return the kindness when I can.
Interests
I'm naturally curious. Whether it's learning how to fix my van, diving into political theory, or refining my novel, I enjoy developing skills and having meaningful conversations. I like ideas that challenge me, and people who can hold their own in a good debate—especially if we can laugh about it after.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach basic self-defence, survival tactics, how to maintain your motorcycle or van, and share thoughts on leadership, writing, and staying grounded in chaos. I'm always up for learning languages, new recipes, or someone else's worldview.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Respect, good conversation, a helping hand, and a bit of humour. I’m tidy, independent, and resourceful.
