-English Literature graduate school student looking to see a bit of the world (i.e. the real world that exists outside of books)!
-Tidbits about me: wine lover, Bikram (hot) yoga addict,cyclist, not afraid of the outdoors/nature, avid reader, political and world affairs junkie,damn good cook (but cluesless/helpless when it comes to cooking meat), love conversing about deep, important things or simply surface things, and...

PHILOSOPHY

-Eat good food, drink tasty wine, laugh a lot, immerse yourself in the world, all the while making sure to be here now.
-Love one another/treat others as you wish to be treated.
-Go hard or go home. Whilst reminding myself not to go so hard that I break my elbows rollerskating (like I did a couple of months ago).
-The positive aspects of existentialism (We have the freedom to make ourselves the person we each want to be.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My housemates aren't down with couchsurfing because they're both work-at-home artists and the living room is their studio. So, instead I offer myself up as--IMO--one of the best free tour guides in SF!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had the most wonderful couchsurfing experiences in DC and Palo Alto. I have come to consider each of the hosts I stayed with as my friends. In fact I'm going back to the DC/Maryland area this October to revisit my past host in that area.

-Music: EDM DJs, Radiohead, Thom Yorke, Atoms for Peace, Prince, Florence & the Machine, The National, Air, deadmau5, Beck, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, etc.

Books/Authors: Toni Morrison (Bluest Eye, Beloved,Sula), Margaret Atwood (The Handmaid's Tale, Oryx and Crake Trilogy). Only listing my two favorite authors because this part of the list could get far too long.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Turned a significant number of my past students from book haters into avid readers/book lovers.

-Climbed Half Dome in Yosemite 5 times.

Teach, Learn, Share

-I can share/teach you a great pizzetta dough recipe. And pick out the perfect toppings!

-Need some proofreading or editing done? Got it!

-I actually like doing the dishes. Seriously :-)
