Overview
About Me
I'm married and have two kids. We live and run our business in Truckee, California near to beautiful Lake Tahoe.
We travel to Mexico regularly and dream of traveling more once our children launch from our nest and stop plundering our finances (haha!)
My husband is a chef and we love having people over for dinner.
We are blessed with great friends and family.
Hoping to extend our friendship to others with CouchSurfing!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm attending a number of conferences lately and want to keep down my hotel costs. I'm a low-impact guest and need a place to rest my head. I think it'd be interesting to host someone in our household, but I'm a little more cautious about what it will be like to visit other homes I'm unfamiliar with. What I know for sure is 'most people are good' and given a good cup of tea I could make friends with most anyone.
Music, Movies, and Books
I identify strongly with Marianne Williamson, Thich Nhat Hanh, Reverend Michael Bernard Beckwith. My movies have been limited to children's film since we started having kids but I try to see all Oscar films each year. I listen to audio books and finish about one a week, so it wouldn't be fair to say my favorites are the ones I can most easily recall. One of the best books of all time: The Road Less Traveled.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I met my husband while on a 120 mile solo kayak trip in Alaska.
I've raised two great kids. Clean and sober for many years. Trying to leave the world a better place through my every action and thought.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am CEO of my husband's private chef business. Also, I help speakers, healers and coaches master the complexities and chaos of their business' day-to-day operations.
My gift is as a teacher and trainer to entrepreneurs.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A warm demeanor, upright character, polite and grateful low-impact guest. A smile and thanks.
