Hello! We are actually a couple, Holly and Zach, hoping to stay with and learn from locals on our backpacking trip across Europe! Our goal is to eventual tour our ancestral towns (Vallaba, Sicily for Zach and Hamburg, Germany for me) but we're excited to travel slow and really get to know what it's like to live in the places we explore.

That fluffy thing in our photo is our 16lb poodle/terrier mix Winry who is coming with us on our trip! We rescued her from Kentucky while in the US and she's been with us ever since. She is the biggest sweetheart we've ever met, independent but full of love. She's already quite the traveller and enjoys being around people and other animals and does especially well with dogs who don't usually like other dogs (she's routinely won them over with her submissive and sweet play style). Since she is a poodle mix, she is also hypoallergnic. She likes to go where we do, so she will always be in our care.

We like to dabble in a lot of interests, so we'd love to help you around around your place if you need it!
Zach has worked in construction and plumbing and can operate just about any power tool you can think of. He is also a skilled guitarist and enjoys being a portrait painter (with oil mostly)!
I grew up on a farm and took care of rooftop gardens in NYC, so I have a love for both indoor and outdoor plants. I also enjoy drawing, singing (badly), and writing.
