Hi I’m Holly, from a coastal city called Newcastle in Australia.
I am a bit of a quiet person at first, but also very curious, so I will enjoy having lengthy conversations with you about your passions, perceptions of the world, and wisdom from experiences.
I am currently a first year Architecture student, so some of my interests take place in the history of buildings/places and environmental architecture. I have taken the second half of the year off , and have been travelling with my friend Jemma for around 2 months now.
We’ve spent around six weeks in Scandinavia, hiking, swimming, meeting some people, doing some workaway/woofing which has lead us to try out couchsurfing too. As any one reading this would probably agree, spending time with locals who share their life and time with you creates the most fun and interesting memories. that’s why we wish to meet some friends through couchsurfing!

To make friends, to create some memories that differ each place we go, due to the different people we spend time with.
since I’ve only lived in the same place in Australia, it is always fun being in other cities/farms/ and houses that differ from my own!
I wish to someday host couchsurfers at my own place, after I experience it myself.

I prefer modern folky tunes with lots of guitar-
Ben Howard, Bon Iver, Angus and Julia Stone, Novo Amor, The National, City Calm down.
Movies- bit of a sucker for a romance (about time, love Rosie, nothing hill, Brooklyn) , or any James Bond film (maybe not the roger Moore ones)
And I’m a Harry Potter geek.
Books-
Not too much into Novels. Only every once in a while.
But While I’m travelling I read most days online on history, world events and religion, or anything I’m interested in at the time.

Recently, had an awesome experience living for a month on a farm in the alps in Norway! fell in love with the nature of the place, the people we lived with, and sparked an interest in gardening, hobby farming and permaculture!
If you’re into permiculture and sustainable living I’d love to have some conversations about it and learn more from people.

I can share my company!
I do love to be around people, whether that’s sharing time playing board games; having conversations, I’m up for it. .
I can share some stories about life in Australia, talk about the environment, politics back home, music and some adventures I’ve had whilst travelling so far.
I also will be up for a Music Jam with anyone which would be cool!
I would be interested in learning new instruments too! I can play a little bit of guitar and like to sing, and I like playing music with people! (not really playing for people on my own) haha.
