About Me

All about adventure! Especially seeing new places and hiking. It's important to me that I encounter others with respect and with an eagerness to learn. I currently am an attorney combatting domestic violence and child abuse, so of course passionate about serving kids, teens, and vulnerable families.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel a lot, used to be for work and now for fun. I'm looking for friends to join in adventures and hiking trips and to practice my Spanish and Portuguese. I especially want to meet locals who can show me and teach me new languages, places, or traditions.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach: English, "street law,” backpacking/trekking skills, Ultimate Frisbee, swing or salsa dancing, kayaking, ukelele, jiu jitsu

I want to learn: Portuguese, other languages, climbing, surfing, history

Share: stories, friendship, food. ALSO: I love introducing people to backpacking/trekking. With enough notice, I am happy to act as “guide” for you, particularly in the Great Lakes area or in Chicago or Detroit . (I’d just ask you to split the cost of gas and that find/borrow/rent any gear for anything I don’t have extras).

Side note: My faith is very important to me, and I'm open about it, but it's not something I would ever force on someone. If you are interested in discussing your faith and/or mine or are just curious, feel welcome to share or ask!
