About Me
ABOUT ME
I currently live and work in Münster, Germany. Originally from the US (Knoxville, TN), I soon left after my undergraduate studies to teach English abroad in South Korea, where I met my husband, who is Austrian/American. Together, we have lived and traveled in many different places. We have resided in Münster for three years now. My husband owns a small business mobile espresso bar and I work for a local nonprofit organization and cultural center. We enjoy coffee, cycling, traveling, books and films.
PHILOSOPHY
See and do as much as possible in this lifetime.
Be open to other perspectives that are not your own.
Take time to detox (from people, tech, work, etc.).
Never skip breakfast.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have been couchsurfing off and on since 2012. I still consider it one of the best ways to meet people while traveling and to get introduced to a place on a truly local level. I have had some excellent experiences and some interesting ones, but overall, I have enjoyed being a part of this lovely community.
Interests
I'm interested in so many things ~
To name a few: My bike, coffee, learning to cook new things, interacting with animals, podcasts and historical fiction or nonfiction anything (films, books, and documentaries).
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Breaking Away, Fandango, Contact and Almost Famous are some of my favorites.
Books: The Awakening and Jurassic Park. Anything by David Sedaris. I just read Killers of the Flower Moon, which is an incredible book written by the same author as The Lost City of Z (another great book). Currently reading Pachinko.
Music: Blues, Bluegrass, and Psychedelic Folk. 80s underground. Baroque Pop. Electro tropical. Gospel and Jazz.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Interesting fact: I've worked with sloths and sea turtles in Costa Rica.
