About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To spend time in Central America experiencing living in a new culture and learning a new language. Hope to use the experience to develop my creativity so that I can use that within my work with kids and young people.
ABOUT ME
wow, where to begin. Well I would say that I am a pretty enthusiastic happy kinda gal who loves meeting new people and travelling to new places. I love arts and crafts and enjoy using my creativity in whatever ways I can think of. I am interested in all things latin and love learning spanish and salsa dancing. I enjoy outdoor activities and hope that with better weather I can be outside more often. I love spending time with friends, having cups of tea and going to see some comedy or out dancing. I love to try out new things and always have a busy diary of activities that I am checking out. Rhythm and music are something I have always loved. I enjoy singing and have been in a number of choirs. Have also played in a samba drumming group and am always looking for ways to make some kinda drumming beat. Life today is something I am immensely grateful for and I make an effort to look each and every day for the things to say thank-you for!
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live each day by being as present as possible to what I am doing in that moment, a skill I need a lot of practice on. I look for things to be grateful for and completely believe that whatever I give to the world the world will give back to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Still pretty new but starting to meet people for drinks and put feelers out for couches. Hope to attend a few CS parties in the next few weeks.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Since February this year I have been warming myself up to this couchsurfing idea by spending time on various friends couchs or spare beds. Its all been with the aim of saving cash for my forthcoming trip to CA. Its been ace practicing being ok with less stuff as I travel between different pads. I've enjoyed learning how to be ok with 'stuff' and checking out how other people live.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Where to begin...
Seeing the happiness in a little old Costa Rican couples faces in their humble home with just the basics they needed to survive. Their home was made from scraps of metal and wood and anything else that they could find. I was touched at how simply they lived and how happy they seemed. It was a real eye opener for me.
Teach, Learn, Share
wow, pressure. I would like to learn how to be more trusting and less of a planner. I would like to share my love for life with others who are simply happy being alive.
