I'm Australian living in the UK.

I enjoy the simple pleasures and suprises that tend to get thrown my way, however mundane. Such as getting a roll of film developed, reunions with old friends, a good belly laugh, eating a really good sandwich, seeing a great gig, or trying a new fruit for the first time.

I like swimming in saltwater, whiskey sours, cooking and eating, shih tzu's, reading, winter sun, green tea, craft, taking pictures, physical theatre, markets, coffee, gardening, camping, wallpaper, drinking beer in the sun, playing guitar, dijon mustard, rainy weather, clever design, 1000+ piece puzzles, waiting for a movie to start at the cinema & pink grapefruit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite directors include Wong Kar Wei, Jacques Audiard, Michael Winterbottom, Yasujiro Ozu, Michel Gondry. My favourite film is MGMs 'The Secret Garden' (1949). Sadly, this is not available on DVD but I do have a grainy VHS copy that I taped off the television in 1985. The old commercials make me laugh.

I like all types of music. Indie chamber pop, mongolian throat singing, gypsy violins, bossa nova, electronica, baroque. I buy records by Cat Power, Andrew Bird, M. Ward, Jens Lekman, Arcade Fire, Jenny Wilson, Sufjan Stevens, The Kinks, Elliot Smith, Feist, Antony and the Johnsons, Belle & Sebastian, Mogwai, Sam Amidon, The Go-Betweens, Will Oldham, Kings of Convenience, Any 50's and 60's girl group.

Sob, sniff, boo, hiss.

Favourite fable? The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde.

Daniel Kitson is the funniest man alive.
