PHILOSOPHY

I think people often spend too much time and energy trying to figure out their purpose or mission. I believe that we are all here to love and be loved. Keep it simple!

Interests

I love animals, etymology, a good massage and pursuing random acts of kindness. I spend my free time reading and my work time encouraging others to read. I wish I had the opportunity to travel more. My rescue teacup poodle is the cutest thing that has ever happened to me and his big (literally) kitty sister completes our little family. I am blessed with more friends than I deserve and spending time with them is what I love more than anything in this world!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was given the opportunity on a Wednesday to fly to Portugal that Saturday. I spent the trip working with strangers from all over the world to build a home for a family in need.

I was traveling by myself in Paris and randomly bumped into a friend-of-a-friend who I had met the month before back home. We were both over 4,000 miles from home and in a city which has a population of over 2 million. It truly is a small world!

I used to work for a program called Foster Grandparents and experienced moments of being left "awestruck" almost daily. I'm a huge advocate for intergenerational programs. Maybe I'll get the chance to tell you more.
