About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to figure out how to fund this summers travels...
ABOUT ME
I teach art in a classroom with no windows. I do as much traveling & "seeing" the world as I can in my time off. My goal is to set foot on all 7 continents. I've made it to 5 so far. Africa & Antarctica are the last 2.
PHILOSOPHY
If it is important enough to you, you can find a way to make it happen. Take a calculated leap of faith. I believe that people are fundamentally good. You get what you give.
After college, my family told me to "travel when I retire" I told them I want my travels to effect the way I live my life now. I have since been to 20 countries & lived in Japan for 2 years. Travel is an education in itself. It is quite humbling if you push aside your own ego & ethnocentrism and open your mind and heart to new ways of doing things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I backpacked Europe by myself in about 10 yrs ago & have been traveling as much as possible ever since. I had a spectacular time a large part due to the wonderfully helpful people I met along the way!
I'm in a position now that I may be able to help to other like minded travelers who have made seeing the world and their global education a priority.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've funded my all of my own travels through hard work, prioritizing and thriftiness. Everywhere I've been has been an amazing learning experience. But some really memorable experiences were:

-Desert Stars at North Rim Grand Canyon, AZ
-Great Wall of China
-Mt Fuji, Japan
-Diving the Blue hole in Belize
-Getting on a train in Venice going 3 hours in the wrong direction because the word "Monaco" in Italian means Munich.
-Shark dive in Fiji
-Uluru in Australia
