About Me

Hello world!
My friends would describe me as a very laid-back and inquisitive person. I am life-long learner which is why I like to travel and which is partly why I became a teacher. Also because I like to help people especially being a part of a young person's development. I laugh a lot, am clumsy, and enjoy the outdoors moderately. I like short hikes and I love the sunshine. I am also fortunate to live in Colorado where we have the outdoors, sunshine, and yummy beers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be traveling to Europe soon for 3 weeks. My travel plans include Copenhagen, Berlin, Amsterdam, Istanbul, Prague, and Frankfurt. I am extremely excited to explore those cities and learn new things. I would like to learn more about the people and culture of those places especially through the eyes of the people that actually live there!

Interests

I LOVE romantic comedies, think chick-flicks like 500 Days of Summer and Pretty Woman. I also am a big foodie. I think it's the best way to connect to people and learn more about a place. I am also biased though since my favorite cuisine is definitely Vietnamese. I also enjoy reading fictional books like The Book Thief and Gone Girl. A perfect day for me would be going to a park, laying down in the sun with a book, and a glass of wine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing I am proud of is being an educator. I taught 4-9th grade and it was one of the most gratifying and hardest job I have ever had. I love my kiddos and will miss them lots.

This year was also the first time I climbed a 14,000+ feet mountain!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook for and cook with people. I cook a variety of food but be warned it is not always good. I just enjoy the company and process :)

Topics I also like to converse about are education, family, exploring the outdoors, and food. I think what I can ultimately share is simply who I am, who I want to be, and where I came from.
