ABOUT ME

I like to think, learn, ask why things work, make theories about the world, and try them in practice, sometimes trusting the theory with my life.

I study physics and work on my research in phase transitions. I'm an enthusiastic mountaineer - counted together I've spent several years walking, climbing and skiing in mountain ranges of all sizes. I'm complete tea junkie, loving to prepare and taste good teas, and I've explored the tea culture from Turkey to China. If you come to Prague, I can show some of the best local tearooms.
Apart from that I do lot of other things - run a small company, do some IT work, play LARPs.

Maybe that all sounds too serious - I'm not that serious in person.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My travels are often quite unpredictable and I don't like sending tons of "we're arriving next day, could you please host us?" requests, so I can't use the full potential of CS, but anyway, it allowed me to meet some great people.

兴趣

It may be easier to list what is not interesting to me... generaly I like to learn, I love outdoor wilderness and strong experiences. Interests I spend most energy on are physics, mountains, mountaineering, LARPs. Internet. Politics, economy, in general complex systems.

I enjoy classical music (eg Bach,Schubert), modern classics like minimalism (Glass), ambient, some folk&country, some rock, some metal... depends on mood. I enjoy silence - there is too much "background music" to my taste.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Beeing on the borders of unknown and distant. On one side, climbing Pik Igla - rarely climbed mountain in Pamiro-Alai, a remote mountain range on the borders of Kyrgyzstan. On the other side, exploring some really tiny bits of unknown in the land of nanoscales. On yet another side, exploring some inner abysses and crags in my own mind.

Maybe, can explain some things about how the world works?

More practical knowledge? How to stay alive in avalanche terrain? What is difference between green and ripe Pu-Erh tea? Why are there bubbles in soda? How to play a tibetan singing bowl? Is there just one universe? ...you see its drifting to less practical :-)
