I grew up in a small town in Oregon but have been living in Colorado for the last three years. I LOVE being outdoors, in the summer I work on trail crews and in the winter I try to snowboard as much as possible. Having these seasonal jobs gives me a lot of opportunities to travel, mostly I’ve been exploring the Southwest.

My taste in music is pretty inclusive. Punk, folk, hip hop. I can appreciate it all. As far as books go I enjoy reading non-fiction/personal accounts.

This past summer (2017) I spent two months in Katmai National Park in Alaska. I was working on a trail crew for the Park Service. It was the most beautiful, remote place I have ever been to :) I could go on and on but I don’t think my rambling would do the place justice.

Since 2012 I’ve been working for conservation corps. We spend our time on Public Lands building and maintaining hiking trails, restoring natural habitats, chainsawing hazard trees. I’ve learned a lot about using tools and living in the woods, but there is always more to learn!
