ABOUT ME

I am an artist, writer, musician, freelance freethinker, aspiring comedian, unintended mime, snappy dresser, and more of these things. I live for good conversation, whether it be literal over a fine wine or beer, creatively between instruments, or an experience with nature...living for what Martin Buber called the I-Thou, relating to and communicating with the world in as real and deep a manner as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

100% Existentialist, you give your life whatever meaning or purpose it will have, enjoy each moment for what it is, treat everything and everyone as an end in itself as opposed to a means to an end.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Wanting to host when I have the space, wanting to be hosted when I am in a new place, and always interested in meeting new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have lived at several co-op art loft type operations over the years, where showing hospitality to travelers has always been a key part of the mission. I have couchsurfed when traveling, expecially when I backpacked Europe in 2007.

Centres d'intérêt

I like walking, I can walk all day, exploring a neighborhood, hanging out in book shops, checking out thrift stores, hiking, listening to live experimental music, watching arthouse films, spending time with friends and making new ones.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Hitchhiked around the country when I was a teenager. I vividly remember pushing an old hippy's camper truck over a hill and then hanging off of the back as we rolled down into a cactus covered desert valley blanketed in snow from a blizzard the night before...it was quite lovely and magical.

I can have lengthy and possibly instructional conversations about philosphy, religion, and social science. I can also teach plucked stringed instruments and percussion.
