To be a citizen of the world; to advocate for animals everywhere
Hope: I am many things. I was born in Shenyang China but grow up in Waltham Massachusetts; I am an animal lover and advocator, especially of cats (of all types and sizes!); I am a tree hugger and a gardener; I am mostly logical but can have an irrational side; I am a bit of a perfectionist; I am a Harry Potter nerd as it has taught me to imagine more creatively; I am photographer-in-training; I am an origami artist and a green tea enthusiast; I am a DIY gal who is also a bargain hunter; I am obsessed with natural organic skin care; I am a lifelong learner. My life inspirations are driven by my endless curiosity and inquisitiveness resulting in my love to travel the world, to learn new cultures, to experience diversity of life, to appreciate the infinite wonders this world is comprised of, and hopefully be able to capture some of this through my camera lens.
Juan: I'm a laid-back, happy-go-lucky type of guy. My raison d'être is to learn as much of the world and universe that surrounds me during my life as I possibly can. Because of that I read a lot of science related articles and, consequently, my favorite subject has become astronomy. I also love biology and I love to learn about animals, and this has led me to realize that animals are as much sentient beings as I am. As a result, Hope and I do what we can to reduce animal suffering around the world, including substantially cutting down our meat consumption. Also, I am obsessed with Formula 1, probably because it combines my fixation with cars and high-technology. Hope and I are very different characters - I think of myself as the Ron to Hope's Hermione; the Fry to Hope's Lela.
Hope: if you want something, go for it and make it happen, be resourceful and be creative; take the road less traveled
Juan: learn about the world around you; find a way to be happy, there's no time to waste on being sad or angry
