ABOUT ME

I grew up on the Gold Coast and as soon as I graduated high school I moved to Brisbane where I made a really nice me-shaped groove, like when you sit on a couch for a long time and you make an indent in the upholstery that fits you perfectly. I studied and graduated University as a qualified Visual Art and English teacher. I was then shipped to a small town in Central Queensland where I lived for three years.

I don´t want to be a teacher when I grow up anymore. I want to be a performer involving circus and physical theatre. I plan to spend my time learning to unicycle, perfecting my juggling skills and improving my ability to handstand. I want to relearn the clarinet and another instrument, maybe piano or guitar or trumpet.I love cycling and being active and can now do 5 chin ups!!

I have a passion for the environment and human rights and friendly debate about any number of issues.

I really enjoy playing games and mucking around like a kid. I laugh a lot.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surfed across America and stayed with a whole bunch of lovely people.

I currently can't host but am happy to show people around the Gold Coast or Brisbane.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed across Montreal, New York and San Francisco and have met some absolutely wonderful people.

Interests

I like to talk about life and society and pop culture and share wild tales. I like to by physical and ride a bike or do circus training. I like to watch films and dance to trashy 80s music. I love to make and see art and read zines and comics. Playing games with my hosts has thus far been my favourite thing! Pictionary with Cath and Francis!! :) Draw the thing on the unicorn with Maddy, Colleen and Ange!! Good times.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am reading Magician at the moment because I like fantasy novels. I cried when Lord Borric died... :) I also really enjoy BBC comedies and horror flicks. Braindead is my favourite horror film besides Evil Dead 2 and I like heaps of othe films like Pulp Fiction, Ghost in the Shell, ET etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can juggle four balls!!! And I have seen someone juggle a chainsaw that was turned on... and two other things at once! Scary!
