Overview
About Me
My main values are freedom and love in the broadest sense: freedom of thought, choice, and life, love for people, stories, and different ways of seeing the world.
I’m open, sincere, and I love meeting new people. I can easily start a conversation about almost anything, but what I enjoy the most is listening — learning about life in different countries from the inside.
In daily life, I’m involved in many things: researching freedom under occupation with scholars at the university of Helsinki, helping to develop the Ukrainian community in Finland, organizing events (from discussion clubs to absurd presentation nights), drawing on paper and random objects, giving tattoos, hosting tea ceremonies. I'm also active in a political party and working on a psychology-related start-up.
I feel close to the cultures of lesswrong, punks, and hippies — for their honesty, freedom, experiments, and search for truth. art (especially performance art) is one of the ways I connect with the world and with myself.
When traveling, I'm adventurous: I like to move without a strict plan, discover hidden corners of cities, meet people, and create adventures along the way.
Besides that, I go to the gym, run, and play tft, albion online, and minecraft.
I lived under occupation from age 11 to 19, and that experience taught me to value freedom even more. now I'm still exploring myself, but I see my path through political activism, start-up's, and building communities.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, couchsurfing is a huge opportunity to connect with people from different countries and see how they really live. I value the inside perspective — not just the tourist side of a place, but life as it’s experienced by the people who call it home.
I enjoy listening to life stories, hearing about people’s journeys, and sharing some of my own in return. It’s a way to learn, exchange, and create meaningful connections across cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can never truly choose one favourite — everything feels so different yet beautiful in its own way, and picking just one would mean putting it above the rest, which doesn’t feel right to me.
But when I'm asked to choose anyway:
• Movie — Mr. Nobody
• Book — The Little Prince
• Music — МУР — більше за нас всіх
In general, I don’t have strict favourites in genres — I enjoy different music, films, and books depending on the moment and the mood.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
once, when I felt stuck in life, I decided to buy a one-way ticket to Paris and start a new life there.
Later I realized how silly that was — it would only limit my adventures. so instead, I bought bus tickets, signed up on couchsurfing, and went traveling. in the next two weeks I visited 5 new cities, met countless amazing people, made great friends, and discovered how big and diverse the world is — how differently people live, and how beautiful they are just as they are.
…after coming back, I went to meet my sister, who wanted to escape from the occupied territory. I ended up being interrogated by the FSB for about 15 hours, and after many threats they officially declared me a “threat to state security” in Russia :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be happy to share stories about life under occupation, talk about Ukrainian culture, and tell you about some of my travel adventures. I also enjoy exchanging life philosophies and perspectives.
I could help you practice Ukrainian or Russian, and I'd be glad to practice my English in return — I use it quite often, but I feel it could still be better.
In general, I'm very open: I can share about the different things I do, and I'm always happy to listen and learn about other people’s lives.
What I Can Share with Hosts
First of all, I respect the rules of your home and your personal boundaries — that’s something I deeply value. I'm easy going, open, and happy to adapt to the way you live.
I can share stories about Ukrainian culture, my experiences, and if you’d like, we can even try cooking borscht together (though I'm not a great cook — it’s more about the process and fun).
One of my personal philosophies is to leave something positive behind wherever I go — whether it’s an impression, a story, or something handmade. Quite often during my travels, I've drawn small sketches inspired by the local city or place, added a personal note, and given them to my hosts. It’s my way of saying thank you and leaving a little piece of myself behind.
