ABOUT ME

I grew up in New York City. My father is an artist and my mother is a teacher. I've been very blessed with my trac in life; once I finally graduated adolence I found the world to be a cheery place if cheer is what you put into it. I started writing at age 15- I never had enough focus to write anything of any length, so I would write poetry. And first you're great. Then you get worse- worse- terrible- better and eventually you're great again- this process attends to anything you've ever tried and had the motorfunctions to contend with- and thus I find myself very happy with myself. I am the first memeber of of my family (that I have ever met) to have graduated in a good solid four years, the trick is I tell them- not to look at the big picture.

Just go moment by moment.

PHILOSOPHY

There is nothing you cannot do if you really WANT to do; therefore it is not how good you are it is how good you WANT to be.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was in Morocco.
The last thing I wanted to do was enter Marrakech at night, but as the train let off at 6pm, I had no choice. Me, my white American face, and my two other female traveling partners- and all of us strapped with big red backpacks; As we wandered about Morocco, hopelessly looking for the ‘recommended’ hostel- we were harassed by a self proclaimed Moroccan Jew! He just would not bugger off, eventually, while walking in the third delirious circle we walked past a young man in a ratty Nirvana tee shirt- when we were about to be very rude and tell him off also, my friend Maria stopped us and accepted his help.
He found our Hostel- and asked us if we liked to smoke- and pulled out a very large bag full of Hashish, we denied for now in favor to get our wits back around us. (Later, the Moroccan Jew who accosted us accosted him, claiming that our friend stole money from him. Being that our friend described this man as a man who has eaten too much ecstasy. Hot damn I didn’t know it made it this far south.)
To sum up the rest of the adventure, because this neither the time nor the place, our friend took us on a journey throughout his homeland- up into the Atlas mountains to meet the Berbers and down into a farm outside of Marrakech, where his cousin’s family slaughtered a chicken and ate with us. Sleeping on their couch has fastly become a fondest of memories.

I like Beer. Yummy beers from all over the place. Japanese movies are neat too. Creative intrestets with wild personalities- all complomented by pretty eyes- I like the world and I like the Animals in it.

I think the only 'practical skill' I have is the ability and desire to cook- it keeps my attention. I love cooking, especially with people I've never cooked with before. All sorts of people have all sorts of tastes- some like squishy beans and rice- I like semi cold and very salty French fries- we all have our quarks. But I know a little Asian food and its just not enough! If and when I am traveling I would LOVE for someone to crack out the Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese, Cantonese, and Indian cuisine recipes; just make my day! And I'll try to teach you a little Crawfish Gumbo.
