About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To enjoy life to the fullest!
ABOUT ME
I am 60, married with three children. My husband is a retired Secondary School French teacher. My husband and I have always loved to travel and have encouraged our children to explore the world. We now feel that it is our turn! In my spare time I enjoy hiking, spending time with our grandchildren, going to the gym and reading. My husband loves to cook and spends his free time either at the gym or surfing the web for gourmet recipes.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that it is true that what goes around, comes around. We get back in life what we give out. I also believe that this world is very small and in some way we are all connected to each other.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We have been involved for several years with Couchsurfing and we have seen firsthand how wonderful this whole concept is. Our oldest daughter has couchsurfed extensively and met many wonderful people around the world. We wanted to give back to this group for all of the kindness that she has received in her travels.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have had several people stay with us from China, Belgium, France, Germany and from across Canada and the United States. It has been a great experience to open our doors to these interesting people. I had planned to Couchsurf in Naples with my daughter in November 09 but we ran short of time in our travels - next time!
Interests
I am interested in anything equine and really enjoy every moment I spend with horses. I also enjoy Yoga and Tai Chi as well as going to the gym. My husband is a wonderful cook especially Thai and Indonesian food.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy reading books by Dr. Wayne Dyer and many other authors from the same genre. I enjoy all types of music, especially Latin style.I also enjoy many types of movies as long as the storyline is interesting and they are not filled with senseless acts of violence.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the late 70's I traveled extensively through Southern Africa for a year. The beautiful landscapes, wild animals but mostly the resilience and generosity of the people has stayed with me through my life.
