i like to climb things! and outdoor exploration in general.

I took a year off of college and traveled across South America (from Patagonia to Panama by land). An incredible experience, and as formative as any other in my life.

I also lived in a student coop throughout college (and beyond). Communal living (and community in general) is The Shit.

Sometimes when I meet people outside of the US, they have an idea of who I must be and what I must believe based on the fact that I'm American. And then they're usually proven wrong :}P oh, and for the record: Fuck Trump.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I love to travel (duh). I'm much more interested in getting to know a new place through locals, catching a glimpse of local culture and daily routines. Love to go to live music or other art shows in new places. I loooove cycling and always jump on the opportunity to explore a new place on two wheels. I don't mind missing out on the tourist attractions.

Technology is changing the world so rapidly, for better and worse. I really appreciate projects like Couchsurfing that use technology to bring people together, make friends out of strangers, and (in some ways) circumvent the consumerism that increasingly pervades most aspects of society.
