ABOUT ME

I am still learning about this crazy thing called life, and do not pretend to know all (or any) of the answers...but I enjoy the experience of learning. I just need to remember to grow from the lessons!

I have earned a few degrees (awarded two), had a hotel career in USA, traveled much, I taught English in Russia for nearly five years at language centers. Now I am teaching English, Science and Drama at a Primary School in China.

I am a good cook and I enjoy cooking...I also love learning new dishes / cuisines.

I recently began working on a book. I expect it to take a couple of years to complete, but I am seeking new adventures to include in it.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is great...enjoy it! Life is a journey...not a destination. When you stop learning...you start dying.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been hosted eight times, and I have attended some gatherings...all good experiences. I am now looking to host people in Russia (northern Siberia).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now had eight CS experiences: four good, and four GREAT! In addition to surfing, I have also attended a few fun events and I really enjoy the community of CSers! Looking forward to hosting soon!

Interests

My new family! I just got married on December 18, 2014 to a woman I met through Couchsurfing! (You can link to her profile through my friends.) Thanks! I LOVE to travel, am a good cook, a good photographer, and passionate about learning. I also like teaching English as a Foreign Language. I also really enjoy writing, and hope to be a published author in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

Metro 2033, The Hunger Games, Life of Pi, philosophy (Fromm, Kant, Descartes),travel books, cookbooks and textbooks. I enjoy MOST music. A few favorite movies: The Usual Suspects, The Dark Crystal, Natural Born Killers, Joe Dirt, and many more (I don't even have a genre I like the most).

Been, and continue to be, myself...authentically.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am not just a good cook...some might say great. I have a good knowledge of religions, and a vast knowledge of communication and English. I love learning new ethnic cuisine dishes (especially soups).
