About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To host and meet international travelers and serious backpackers here at my hot springs and organic farm
ABOUT ME
Born right here in Riverside county California, and seen all of the changes through the years. I love the crisp fresh feeling of the dawn, and I have always risen early. I feel a strong connection to this bio-region....the mountains, canyons and natural world...but we're pretty far removed from the dominant culture in southern California. It's easier for me to keep myself focused by connecting with Backpackers from distant regions who appreciate our warm climate and beautiful canyons, natural hot water, great fruits...and the valuable contributions that California and it's unique sub-cultures have made to the world in the past.
I honor the native people and seek to learn more about indigenous groups all over the world, but especially European pre-history, something we never hear about in the West.
PHILOSOPHY
Live rural, simple and creative, and spend as much time in the wilderness as possible. Spend part of every day involved with helping trees or plants survive here in the desert, by giving them water (farming).
Encourage young Americans to put on a Backpack and see some other cultures. Something like only 5% to 8% of Americans actually have a valid passport, so no wonder we're so insulated. (Bush jr. did not even have a passport when elected president)
A better understanding of history, identity and cultural diffusion helps encourage a stronger sense of purpose, destiny and tolerance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By being here and keeping this place flowing with hot and cold water, fruit production and historical archives for promoting a better understanding of healing, natural living, ecology and a sustainable future for earthlings.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I owned and ran a Backpackers for 11 years so have a lot of experience with hosting backpackers and international travelers. I have had over 7000 total strangers pass through my house/organic farm in the past 20 years, so there is very little I have not seen. It's a lifestyle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I lived feral in the San Jacinto Mountains for 15 months, sleeping under boulders and in Indian Caves, building fires every night, taking sweats, growing food....then I found truth in the Canary Islands; mummies, caverns, pyramids, beautiful empty beaches, giant volcanos, museums, pine forests.
I personally once asked Mary Hughes: "are you Miss Psycho Daisy?"
Teach, Learn, Share
I offer a voice and perspective on European pre-history and culture. I've also been growing organic fruits for a long time, and I know a thousand beautiful places in the mountains and deserts of California
