About Me

CURRENT MISSION

i want to not be in the same place all the time

ABOUT ME

I'm a really blunt, honest person, pretty level-headed, prone to bouts of escapism. I love love love to dance, live music, wandering streets at night by myself or otherwise, baking when it's lame outside, spinning in circles in the park, talking to people in bars and on the street, having food fights, and generally doing things that make my mind feel like it's in my body.

PHILOSOPHY

i don't like flakes or liars, and i try not to flake or lie.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While I'm new to the project, I completely support the attempt. To me, culture is an individually manifest social construction, and conflicts occur when these constructions come into competition with one another. Through deconstruction of these structures within our own subjectivity we will be better able to understand these structures in another, and one of the best ways to deconstruct is a change of environment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed while I was on a trip to Europe this summer for the first time, and both times and places were really great experiences, with really interesting people. I always thought I loved the idea, and now I know I do.

Interests

art (making, theory, discussion, everything), music, travel, DANCING, writing, hiking, exploring, spinning, sewing, moving, making, cooking
i take a lot of pictures, just got a new camera (he is my new love and his name is Inspector Clouseau).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I let myself into an under-construction skyscraper in downtown san diego by the harbor with two of my friends and we climbed like 30 stories on an exterior staircase that had no railing only a thin wire or rope or something, only to have some boat-cop in the harbor let off some horn and start shouting things through a loudspeaker. We hid inside the building until they boated themselves away. It was unclear if they were after us. We barely evaded capture on the way out because there were these really annoying patrolmen in yellow shirts.

Teach, Learn, Share

1. photography is the most important thing that ever happened to art other than the evolution of opposable thumbs

2. there are 3 categories of things in the world: things i can kill, things that can kill me, and jimmy page still plays guitar. If i can't kill it and it didn't kill me, jimmy still shreds. (a friend of mine told me that and i love it).

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, Mexico, Norway, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
