About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Start growing vegetables.

ABOUT ME

I am very energetic and very curious. Terrible sense of humor and quite awkward. Always have ideas, learning how to make them happen. Not many clothes in my closet, but they're all clean. Enjoy exploring and willing to try anything I've never tried before. I like getting my hands dirty building or growing things.

Born in Tokyo, Japan. Raised in Taipei, Taiwan. Graduated from Lewis & Clark College, 2010 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies. Last seen working in Taipei.

PHILOSOPHY

Minimize stress, help others, maximize time to enjoy things and people I love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

2011: hosted Longsheng from Singapore, hosted by Apure in Hualian, and attended Dajia Riverside Park picnic.
2012: hosted Luca from Belgium.

Interests

ahh so many interests, and if I'm not interested, it's because I don't know enough about it. Right now, I am building a very cheap bicycle. I am learning about vermiculture (composting with worms) so I can use the castings as natural fertilizer for my plants. I am practicing reading and writing Chinese everyday. I...am alive.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read. Really. I always feel there is so much to read, and never enough time. I spend at least 2-3 hours a day reading books, magazines, and articles from my RSS feed.

I also love good music, movies, and art. Anything that makes my whole body feel alive.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snow camping on Mount Hood in Oregon. We built an igloo, slept snow caves, and cooked out of a well-stocked snow kitchen. Crabbing on the Oregon coast. Fishing in the lakes. Oregon is a beautiful place to live.

Teach, Learn, Share

ahhh, so much to learn and try. Teach me anything. I'll help you with anything.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea
