About Me

I grew up in the suburbs on the west side of Houston. I think life is too short to be stressed out, therefore, I try to have fun at all times. I am very spontaneous and down to do whatever comes to mind, so planning out my weekends is not my forte. I was a student athlete and have two engineering degrees, and I am currently an Automation Specialist. I went to school in Louisiana and Wisconsin, then started my career in Virginia, and now I'm back home in Houston

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy learning other cultures and it's an excellent way to get an accurate depiction of how other people live.

Interests

I am an easy going guy and into typical guy stuff such as God, sports (mainly football & basketball), a healthy lifestyle, family & friends. In my spare time, I enjoy watching sporting events, hanging out w my family or friends. I'll smoke a cigar every once in a while to just relax or ride my motorcycle.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music I like is mainly Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, but I can listen to anything. I need to better with reading books, but I've just started to read some books about life and investing. I typically read articles that interest me. For movies I like comedies and dramas, not a fan of horror movies. I don't have a favorite movie, there are too many to choose from, but I like the Friday movies, Rush Hour movies, Lord of the Rings, Bourne Identity movies, Gladiator, and etc. City of God is a great movie now that I think about it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My sisters and I gave our parents an all expense paid trip to Egypt for their 30th anniversary. That was their 1st time out of the country for both of them.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a life long learner, and think that everybody should strive for that. I haven't traveled outside of the states as much as I'd like, but living in different parts of it has helped me understand people a little better...and if I'm able to teach a few things along the way then that's what it's all about

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will respect their home 1st. I can assure that I will not be dependent on my host to hold my hand on things to do and places to see. I can share my travel and life experiences, and converse about several different topics. Like I said, I'm easy going

Countries I’ve Visited
