About Me

Come back from travels with stories, not souvenirs

Hello. I'm a primary school teacher in Essex. I spend most of my time trying to get 10 year-olds to use full stops and carry the one but I've caught the travelling bug and want to satisfy my wanderlust in the summer months.

I love to read and love having lofty conversations about life's meaning (regularly interspersed with fart jokes), but I also love exciting days and nights where anything could happen! I'm not a great chef, but I am a semi-decent ukulele player, so if I stay with you I can sing for my supper!

The universe is amazing. I am lucky to experience it. Be thankful and revel in it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I offered my room back at university, but never had a visitor. Unfortunately I'm now in a house where my flatmates aren't too keen on the idea, despite cajoling, but as soon as I'm somewhere a bit more chilled out, I am keen to host!

I spent a month in cape town hanging out with the couch surfing community there. Made a great bunch of friends and had an awesome time.
