Hi there, I’m Hugo. I’m 22 years old, and I'm a student at the University of Lausanne. I believe that traveling isn’t just about discovering beautiful places, but also about meeting new people and sharing experiences to truly understand cultures. I had the opportunity to travel a lot with my parents as a child, and that's where my passion for discovering new cultures and landscapes began.

I’m also a music lover and I'm always interested in exploring the local music scene wherever I go because music always adds another layer to my understanding of the places I visit.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I started Couchsurfing during my two-month backpacking trip in South America and the US. Meeting new people of immense generosity and discovering their cultures made me fall in love with this unique way of traveling.

As a guest, I’m respectful, tidy, and easy-going. I’m always eager to lend a hand with cooking or household chores, and I’m mindful of personal space and privacy. I value open communication and am always keen to learn about the local culture, customs, and food.

As a host, I don’t expect anything in return for my hospitality. I’m opening my door to travelers to give back to this amazing community. However, I do expect guests to respect my belongings and keep the space clean. I’m perfectly fine with surfers who wish to explore the area on their own, so if you’re just looking for a free place to stay, please include that in your request. Otherwise, I’m also happy hanging out with surfers who would like me to show them around.

I believe you learn from every encounter you have. That being said, I’d really enjoy discovering some musicians you like and learning a few words in your language. Also, if you have some food you'd like to cook together, I’d be happy to try it!
