About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Resettling in Australia, educating myself in the laws of my country and occasionally running election campaigns.

ABOUT ME

Musician, Student, likes eating interesting food and drinking exotic beer, records, novels and art house cinema. Why yes, I did grow up in Melbourne, how could you tell?

PHILOSOPHY

'Be where you want to be.' Be it city, mindset or house, always try and be in the place that you want to be in.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The essence of a community based exclusively on the commerce of good will is participation and the exchange of kindness and kindnesses.

Happy to offer a house whenever I have one, and my presence when I do not.

_____

If you would like to stay please let me know. I prefer host on weekends, as I work and study a lot and like to show people around. You'll be crashing on my floor with sofa cushions, so don't expect the Ritz, but its probably nicer than a hostel. It is couch-surfing after all? I will reply to as many requests as I can, and I'm happy to give pointers on Melbourne and hang out when I can't host (in fact I genuinely enjoy doing so). I only have space to host one person at a time. Personalized requests are a must. I won't put in some stupid phrase which I require you to say, but if you check out my soundcloud and let me know what you think of 'Eh Doobe Mochoo', I'll know that you put in time and effort.

Si hablas espanol y no puedes hablar mucho ingles, esta bien. Tengo que practicar mas.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Inumerous events and meet ups all over the world.

Interests

Music. I'm a musician (albeit not a brilliant one) but I travel with my rather heavy assortment of electronic instruments (I promise not to expose you to my strange brand of psychedelic latin techno, but if you want to hear it, is here; https://soundcloud.com/caravaggio-viii) Love going to gigs, whatever the genre (be it classical, popular ect.)

Debates about politics, legal inequities, international systems and what not are things I pretend not to enjoy, but will spend hours talking to anyone about.

Eating good food and drinking good alcohol (or at least interesting flavors of alcohol) is also high on my list of pleasures.

Dancing to bad techno music in bad night clubs is a guilty pleasure, but one that I enjoy immensely.

Music, Movies & Books

I always list these three as they will probably give you the best idea about what I'm about. Look them up, or masterpieces of their art.

Book: The Unbearable Lightness of Being Film: Chinatown Album: Pop Negro

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Swimming in Barcelona at 2am in the morning with the coolest bunch of people I've met in awhile would be up there. It's simple, but it was slightly magical at the time.

That and getting over post travelling blues after two years of home-stuck depression. That felt pretty amazing.

Countries I've Visited

China, France, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I've Lived In

Australia
