About Me

Hi!

Here writes an avid traveller trying to increase his knowledge and conscious in this amazing world. Sometimes I feel if I lose the habit of crossing borders I will lose myself, too. That's why I'm always expecting to live the present everyday and learn with every new step. I'm passionated with discovering new cultures and ways of living.

My friends says I'm a happy and open minded guy who lives life with intensity. I also can add that I value, above all, meeting new people, new cultures and keep alive the learning process.

I like yoga, vegetarian food, play guitar and flute, books, tattoos, yerba mate, non commercial movies, same with music and yes, the beach!

Last thing: yep, more than 40, but with a real young energy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting local people and exploring different ways of traveling that allows me to understand the reality of the places I visit trough their eyes.
That's why I'm also a very active member of Workaway, and amazing plattform for voluntering all over the globe.
In the last years I've been more and more keen to find differents ways to understand the economy trough the exchange in stead of the salary. Plattforms like this are helping me quite a lot to explore this different way of living and travelling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Mmm...

The best thing I did in my live was quit of my work and the very tipic live I had in Barcelona in 2010 and prepare my backpack for travelling around the world. Nowadays this way of live is the total meaning of my steps.

The Perito Moreno glacier in argentinian Patagonia fascinated me. Countless miles of ice and echoes.

I had the chance of travelling by boat during many days across the Amazonas river. It was a huge experience.

The city of Varanasi, also called Benares, in India is the place that most impacted me on a cultural level. Another world for me, another world really.

The Carnival of Rio de Janeiro: unmissable!

I'd the chance of exploring the Great Wall in China from the non rebuilded part. It really touch myself. No words to describe how impressive it was.

Angkor Wat temples in Cambodia are the most impacting ancient arquitecture I saw in my life. Definitely one of this places everyone should go at least once.I

Myanmar is one of this countries in Southeast Asia where the culture didn't suffer the impact of massive tourism. So pure, many many things to learn there.

Australia....huge! 😊

Macchu Picchu in Perú, Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA, Rif mountains in Morocco, Istambul and it's 7000 years of History... There so many places I'll never forget.

Some years ago I lived in a Motorhome/Camper/House with wheels(?) 😉 for 3 years between México and USA. That was a dream come true. Definitely! I love Mexico, totally in love with this country.

I think visiting social projects is one of the best ways to understand the local reality everywhere you go.

As I said I'm a very active member of the workaway community. Trough this platform I'm learning a lot of new skills in the farm work, bio-construction projects, general maintenance, working in hostels, teaching kids in local schools...Last years I've been traveling using this volunteer work platform almost constantly.

These days I'm involved in a new big travel. South Africa first and then going north, from February 2020 and no idea when it's going to end! The goal is arrive in Lebanon at some point in 2021.

Hope to find you, surfers!

Teach, Learn, Share

It's in spanish, but there's a video where some friends interviewed me.
I met them in Canada, while they we're travelling and making their own videos in their youtube channel. The second time I found them was a year later in Mexico, and they asked me to make this video for their channel. It was a beatuiful surprise.

I've been working for some years as a hand made jeweler with macrame. I can share that, from bracelets to hunging pots.

If you have a guitar at home...we can play!
