I’m Hugo Faz, performance artist, imagemaker, art curator and collector. I dropped a "promising" career in business 10 years ago and became an artist. I opened a decentralized digital arts museum in São Paulo in 2023 called Casa NUA (https://en.nft.nua.casa). I devote most of my time nowadays to building bridges between the traditional and digital art worlds by creating, curating and collecting art. I try to live everyday as happy as I can and always striving to be doing what I want to do, so that I may never have future regrets! I also believe that the best times we spend in our life are spent together, in relationships of all kinds or levels... so I try to make the most of my experiences with new acquaintances and old friends as well, regardless of their origin, opinion, gender, religion, sexual orientation... that said, I'm gay and proud, and share my home with my boyfriend Paulo in São Paulo city center.

Regarding staying with us, our availability to host and/or to spend time together will vary depending on our current projects, it’s a little unpredictable as we don’t have a fixed routine. So it may be that we have time to take you around town, but if not, we’ll surely try to point you to our favorite places and activities.

At home, we are super health-oriented and follow a mostly low carb diet, so depending on your eating habits it may be that we won’t have your usual foods available. But we make great healthy meals! We rarely drink alcohol as well. Our home is also a nude-friendly space. We're comfortable being nude at home and treat nudity naturally. If you request to be hosted let me know that you’ve read this and how you feel about being nude too if you’re staying with us, since we don’t want to feel vulnerable in our own home. Finally, we don't smoke, so our home is a non-smoking place as well.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I have learned a lot about myself from different experiences with different people from all over the world and also from next doors. I believe that to be constantly making connections is the best way to live, grow and learn.

As such, I travel whenever I can, and I believe couchsurfing is a great way to do it! I'm also eager to hosting interesting people from all corners of the world that also have a lot of experiences to share, and hopefully spend good moments with them in my own city! Lately though work has been getting the better of me and I miss traveling more often.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I bungee jumped for the first time from the world's highest bungee in Macau, and then went and quit my job and career the next day, for a change. Became an artist. Ran naked on São Paulo’s main avenue for a performance act and auctioned it as an NFT for multiple eth!

I love doing yoga but I don't do it as much as I'd like to. I speak fluent English, Portuguese and French. I'd like to improve my Spanish and Italian. I love to try my hand at the kitchen when I have time (scarce these days), learned a bit after founding and managing a food service start-up called Cheftime for a few years.

I can tell you all about politics in my country. I can share my experiences and tips about the places I have visited. I can share a laugh, a ride, ideas, or whatever you bring to the table! I am a consultant for digital arts (both for artists and collectors) and can tell you all about it too.
